Dear CJEG Families,
Hello to you all! We hope that the summer is treating you well, and that you are enjoying the time with your families and friends. As the new school year approaches, we welcome back all of our returning families and want to extend this welcome to the new families who are joining us.
We are excited about the upcoming year and want to tell you a little about it. The year kicks off on September 9th with a welcome breakfast for returning and new families. If you know of prospective families who might be interested in our school, please extend an invitation. Their children are welcome to sit in on a class and they can attend our first parent meeting. Parent meetings are held throughout the year and play a huge part in determining the direction of our school, so please attend. On September 30th, we will build a Sukkah, which is the first of our many in-school holiday celebrations and as always, we will have a Holocaust speaker.
Enclosed you will find essential information, such as our school calendar, a list of the teachers’ names, and the names of our board members. Because of renovation to the Humanities Building, we will be holding classes in the Ft Awesome building, Rooms 0135, 0136, 0137, 0138 and 0142 (bldg with Starbucks in it). If anything changes, we will inform you via email and our website.
As you all know, our school needs new families. We are hopeful that new families will join when they learn about our wonderful school. Until then, we ask you to please help spread the word by printing and distributing the flyer that has been emailed to you. Place them around your towns, in libraries, stores, etc. We are also asking for any additional donations you may be able to make to the school above the annual tuition. We have kept tuition affordable to all, so anything you may be able to donate will be of great help.
CJEG is a parent-run cooperative school, and we encourage all parents to lend their individual creative talents wherever and whenever they can. CJEG is for you and your children, so please take an active role.
We extend outstretched arms to say hello to all of you. Enjoy the rest of the summer, and we’ll see you in September—
Shalom,
Ira Levy and Peter Romeo
